Beginnings Chapel - March 13, 2017

After a time of worship, Mrs. Dykes spoke to the students about what it means to be "established in the faith." When they checked puppet Diggs’ heart, the students found an elephant. Mrs. Dykes explained that elephants are best known for their amazing ability to remember. On the contrary, human beings seem to have a hard time remembering. Therefore, people use a variety of tools to help: songs, leave notes, repetition, etc. Then, using the tool of repetition, Mrs. Dykes had the students read aloud an excerpt from Psalm 136 which helped to remind everyone that God’s "steadfast love endures forever." In closing, Mrs. Dykes invited a student up to the front to place a Bible in puppet Diggs’ heart. In doing this, she encouraged the students to always keep God’s Word in their hearts, as a foundation of their faith.

Key Passages: Colossians 2:7a, Psalm 136:1-9
