Virginia Athletic CouncilGreenbrier Christian Academy’s Baseball and Softball teams were awarded from among our region's Public and Private Schools’ athletic teams with a “Best Team” distinction. The Annual Virginia Athletic Council Sports Awards honor the outstanding achievements of student athletes and coaches in their respective sport from the Coastal Virginia Area.  All nominees and winners in over twenty categories were selected by an independent selection committee.

Established in 2012, The Virginia Athletic Council seeks to mentor, provide guidance to, and assist athletes prior to, during, and after their athletic careers, helping to ensure preparation for postgraduate and/or professional athletic endeavors.  The Council exists to nurture the development of competency and confidence as these student-athletes adjust to the pressures involved with participating in athletic competition.

Congratulations to both the GCA 2016 Baseball team, led by Head Coach, Gary Lavelle with assistants Andrew Riddick and Patrick Nichols, and to the GCA 2016 Softball team, led by Head Coach Dan Moore, with assistants Kelly Gregory and Sommer DiFulgo.
